Job Overview
- Travel assignment in Springfield, Missouri
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 5x8, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- One opening
Required Qualifications
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
- Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2 years of experience
- ARRT (R)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Driver's License
Schedule and Call
- Weekend call coverage required
- Call coverage: 1–2 weekends per month and 4–6 weekdays per month
Assignment Details
- Float as required by the facility
- Green surgical scrubs are provided daily and must remain within the facility
- Unacceptable attire includes torn clothes, open-toed shoes, and not wearing scrubs
Role Summary
- Performs diagnostic and invasive procedures
- Assists the care team during procedures, including scrub assistance and recording images
- Operates imaging equipment and patient care equipment
- Administers contrast materials
- Reviews medication reconciliation forms for potential contraindications before contrast administration
- Observes patients before, during, and after procedures
- Uses immobilization and patient transfer devices
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced registry in CI, VI, or RCIS
- Certification in VI, CV, or RCIS
Unit Information
- Interventional radiology setting with four suites
- Typical patient ratio: 1:1 procedural
- Patient population includes oncology, dialysis, neurology, and PE cases
