Endoscopy Registered Nurse

Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Carmel, Indiana
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift: 4x10 hours, 6:30 AM–5:00 PM
  • Block schedule may be available
  • First-time travelers accepted
  • Indiana residents are not accepted
  • Locals are not accepted

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Indiana
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • 3 years of endoscopy experience
  • Endoscopy experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • PALS issued by American Heart Association
  • Pediatrics experience
  • Experience with Cerner

Schedule and Work Expectations

  • Weekend requirement: no
  • On-call required: one weekday shift per week and one weekend call shift every 6 weeks
  • May float within scope to PACU if needed
  • Must work 2 of 3 major holidays

Clinical Setting

  • Endoscopy unit with 1:1 ratios
  • Unit serves pediatric and adult patients
  • Pre/post and intraprocedural care
  • Upper and lower GI, bronchoscopy, EBUS, and pain management cases

  • Scrubs are provided

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
