Cath Lab Tech
Job Overview
- Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri
- Employment type: Travel/Contract

- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Role Summary
- Provides imaging and scrub coverage for a hybrid vascular room outside normal scheduled hours.
- Supports vascular surgical cases, including arterial, visceral, and venous interventions, AAA stent work, and peripheral interventions.
- Responsibilities include tray setup, injector and table operation, X-ray and imaging setup, DSA, radiation safety, and assisting with wires, catheters, balloons, stents, and other interventional and closure devices.
- Call coverage runs Monday through Friday from 1600 to 0730, with 24-hour call on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Average call-in or late cases occur about twice per week.
Required Qualifications
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- 1 year of Cath Lab Technologist experience
- Special Procedures Technologist experience
- Interventional Radiology Technologist experience
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- Permanent license in hand at submission; temporary licenses are not accepted
- Must complete required state license verification within 30 days of start
- Must complete national tech certification verification within 30 days of start
- Must complete NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
- Must pass onsite EPIC pass/fail testing for applicable competencies
- Must complete required competency exams and medication/pharmacology testing as applicable
- Must complete a color blind test
- Must provide 2 professional references
- Must complete an employment application
- Must complete an annual skills checklist
Preferred / Helpful
- Ability to scrub open cases is a bonus
- RCIS or a scrub tech with the appropriate skill set may be suitable
- Cath lab, IR, or special procedures tech background may fit the role
