CVICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Salem, Oregon
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- 48 hours per week
- ASAP start
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- CVICU (2 years of experience)
- CVICU experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 2 years of Telemetry experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred
- CCRN certification
Unit Details
- Cardiovascular ICU role with floating between CVICU, CVIMCU, ICU, and PCU
- Care for adult cardiac patients with diagnoses including heart failure, post-cardiac arrest, cardiothoracic surgery, IABP therapy, Impella insertion, post-PCI, pacemaker insertion, ablation, arrhythmias, STEMI/NSTEMI, and EKOS
- Strong cardiac experience is needed
- Blended cardiovascular unit with 18 CVICU beds and 12 CVIMCU beds
Additional Notes
- Advanced certification is encouraged
- Training is provided for cardiovascular intensive care and related therapies, including intra-aortic balloon pump, continuous renal replacement therapy, targeted temperature management, and ventricular assist devices
