Radiation Oncology RN
Location
- Glenwood Springs, Colorado
Job Type
- Contract
- 13 weeks
- 36 hours per week
- Weekday schedule: 4 ten-hour shifts
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Oncology (2 years of experience)
- Oncology experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care and interventions for patients in Radiation Oncology
- Assist with patient evaluation and examination with the Radiation Oncologist
- Serve as a liaison between Radiation Oncology and other departments, physicians, and support resources
- Provide teaching, counseling, and supportive care for patients and families
- Coordinate referrals for recovery, rehabilitation, nursing home care, hospice, and nutritional services
