Description

Cath Lab Technologist

Location

  • Martinsburg, West Virginia

Contract Length

  • 13 weeks

Schedule

  • 4 ten-hour day shifts per week
  • Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in West Virginia
  • Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
  • Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
  • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • ARRT (R)
  • Driver's License
  • Cath Lab Radiology Technologist experience

Additional Requirements

  • Must submit an unexpired driver’s license
  • Driver’s license address must be more than 50 miles from the facility
  • Background hits must be disclosed at time of submission
  • COVID-19 vaccination required, with medical or religious exemption process available
  • Previous permanent staff must be gone for 2 years before returning
  • Previous travelers who worked there for 1 full year must be gone for 2 years before returning

Work Setting / Responsibilities

  • Covers cath lab and hybrid OR procedures
  • Cases include interventional cardiology, STEMI, peripheral interventions, and device implants
  • Adults only
  • May float to non-invasive cardiovascular care to start IVs

Call / Weekend / Holiday Coverage

  • Weekend coverage required
  • Call required Monday–Friday, 3:30 PM–7:00 AM
  • Holidays are covered by call

Orientation

  • 2 shifts with a preceptor, then buddy call

Equipment / Systems

  • Uses Cupid and Xper
  • Acist injector familiarity is preferred but not required

Notes

  • Scrubs are provided
  • Unit is hardwired for telemetry at the bedside

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
