Schedule
- Days, 8 hours per day, 40 hours per week
- Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Required Qualifications
- Valid RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist license in West Virginia
- RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (2 years of experience)
- RDN - Registered Dietitian Nutritionist experience within the last year
- BLS
- Experience in a(n) Inpatient setting
- Driver's License
Preferred Experience
- Pediatric experience
Patient Population
- Adult general medicine/hospitalist patients
- Pediatric hospitalist patients
- Common cases include obesity, prediabetes, cancer, celiac disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, malnutrition, eating disorders, and other causes of unintentional weight loss
Work Setting
- Caseload of 8–10 patients per day
- No dietary/nutrition aides currently in the department
- May provide secondary coverage for staff days off
On-Call / Weekend / Holiday
- On-call remotely every 6–8 weeks for adult coverage
- On-call remotely every 4–5 weeks for pediatric coverage
- Weekend and holiday coverage are on-call remote only
Orientation
- Department-specific and unit-specific orientation provided
Submission Requirements
- Must submit only one position at a time across the WVU system
- Driver’s license address must be outside 50 miles from the facility
- Previous permanent candidates must have been gone for 2 years
- Previous travelers who were there for 1 full year must have been gone for 2 years
- Submitters may send only 2 candidates per opening
- An unexpired copy of the candidate’s driver’s license must be included with submission
