Unit Overview
- Med-surg, telemetry, and stepdown unit
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Common diagnoses include heart failure, chest pain, ESRD, renal failure, neuro/stroke, respiratory failure, and syncope
- Equipment available includes bedside GE monitors, AVA system cameras for fall prevention, and vein finders
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Louisiana
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- 2 years of Med Surg / Telemetry experience
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- Experience with Epic
Scheduling Notes
- Blocked scheduling and holiday RTO cannot be approved
- Traveler may be assigned to an Emergency Team during an emergency event and may be expected to remain at the facility or serve on the relief team
