Job Overview

Schedule & Assignment Details
- Every other weekend required
- Must work Christmas holiday (12/23–12/25)
- Floating within scope is required
- Block scheduling is not accommodated

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- Med Surg / Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Compliance & Pre-Start Requirements
- Pending license accepted if active before start
- RTO greater than 7 days requires approval
- Physical exam within 12 months of start
- Fit test within 12 months of start and updated annually
- 10-panel drug screen within 12 months of start
- TB questionnaire required annually
- 7-year work history with no gaps greater than 90 days
- 2 professional references required within 3 years of start
- Skills checklist required within 12 months of start
- Background check required, including a 7-year criminal background check within 12 months of start
- Education verification of highest level of education required
- Color blind testing required
- Medication/pharmacology competency exam required within 12 months of start
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam required for telemetry roles
- Language services training required
- CAUTI education training required
- Suicide risk and environmental assessment training required
- Stroke education module required
- CLABSI prevention training required
- Preventing pressure injury training required
- Patient transportation with oxygen education required
