CVICU Travel Nurse Job
Overview

- Weekend requirement: Every other weekend
- Floating: May float to CCU, CTICU, ICU, and/or stepdown
Unit Details
- Patient ratios are typically 1:2 and may increase to 1:3 based on acuity
- Fresh cardiac open-heart patients are 1:1
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- CVICU experience within the last year
- 1 year of CVICU experience
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Fresh open heart surgical patient experience
- CABG (Coronary Artery Bypass Graft) experience
- Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) experience
- Impella experience
- TAVR (Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement) experience
- CCU - Coronary Care experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
- Stepdown experience
