- Day shift, 5x8 hours
- Monday through Friday
- 6:45 AM to 3:15 PM
- 40 hours per week
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Work Setting and Duties
- Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab
- Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab
- 1:1 patient ratio
- May float as needed
- Call required: one day per week and every fifth weekend
- No regular weekend requirement
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in North Carolina
- Cath Lab Technologist (2 years of experience)
- Cath Lab Technologist experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Preferred Experience
- Cardiac Cath Lab procedures, including:
- ASD closures
- Cardiac implant closure device
- Impella insertion
- Rotablader atherectomy
- Scrub procedures
- TAVI/TAVR
- Vascular studies/procedures, including:
- Angioplasty
- Dialysis graft intervention
- Upper and lower extremity angiography
- IV therapy support, including:
- Central line insertion/management
- Implanted ports care and maintenance
- PICC line care and maintenance
- Additional skills:
- End-tidal CO2 monitoring
- External compression devices
- Hypothermia protocols
- Laser-assisted procedures
- Pressure ulcer assessment/prevention
- Radiation and laser safety
- Topical hemostasis
- Vascular closure systems
- Ventilator monitoring
Unit Details
- Occasional late days, typically 4–5 days per month
- Orientation: 16 hours
- Scrubs provided
Important Notes
- RTO after booking is not allowed
- Must be fully available for possible start-date changes and orientation scheduling
- Locals are accepted
