PCU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Johnson City, Tennessee
• Night shift: 4x12 hours, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
• Rotating weekends and holidays
• No call
• Floating required
• 13-week contract

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Assignment Details

• 16 hours of nonbillable orientation
• General orientation begins on Sundays
• May be canceled or called off one shift biweekly without financial penalty if census decreases
• Additional shifts above the work commitment may be flexed as needed based on census or resource needs without penalty

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

• Background check
• Education verification
• Drug screen within 14 days of start
• Physical exam within 1 year of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• MMR immunity documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella immunity documentation
• Fit mask testing onsite for candidates with patient contact
• Color blind testing
• Competency exam
• Skills checklist
• References: 2 accepted, 3 preferred

• Expected to participate in nursing student support and clinical education as part of the role
