Description
ICU Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Abilene, Texas
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- May care for low-acuity ICU patients or high-acuity telemetry patients
- Start date preferred within the next 3–5 weeks
Schedule
- On call once every 6 weeks
- 6 weekend shifts per 6-week period
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify or attestation
- Background check
- 7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG within 30 days of start
- Texas DADS Employability Status Check within 30 days of start
- Texas Employee Misconduct Registry check within 30 days of start
- NURSYS verification within 30 days of start
- Education verification for highest level completed
- References: 2 within 3 years of start
- Resume or application copy
- Skills checklist, updated annually
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement, updated annually
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- TB questionnaire annually
- Drug screen within 10 business days prior to start

- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella documentation
