Respiratory Therapist

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania
• Specialty: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics
• Start-to-finish contract length: 13 weeks
• Night shift: 7:00 PM–7:30 AM, 3x12s
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• No on-call

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Pennsylvania
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (2 years of experience)
• Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Experience working with Adult patients
• Experience in a Critical Care setting
• Experience in an Acute Care setting

Work Setting

• Respiratory float pool
• Floating between Adult Critical Care and the Emergency Department

Skills and Clinical Experience

• Aerosol treatments and medication delivery
• Oxygen therapy, BiPAP, CPAP, HFNC, trach collar, bag-mask ventilation
• Intubation assist, extubation, nasal/oral airway placement and suctioning
• ABG interpretation and chest physiotherapy
• Tracheostomy care and management
• Weaning from mechanical ventilation
• Troubleshooting high-pressure alarms

Additional Notes

• First-time travelers are accepted
• Local candidates are accepted
• Epic is preferred for charting
• Dark grey scrubs required
• Planned time off must be submitted with the application and cannot interfere with pre-start compliance completion
