Registered Nurse
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Anchorage, Alaska
- Medical-surgical/telemetry unit
- Night shift
- 13-week assignment
- Start date: ASAP
Schedule
- 4x12-hour shifts
- Traveler’s choice scheduling
- Weekend coverage may be more frequent than every other weekend, depending on staffing needs
- On-call not required
- Block scheduling not available
- May float to like units as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
- Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- First-time travelers accepted
Unit Details
- Co-care/virtual nursing model
- Bedside RN-to-patient ratio: 1:6
- Unit cares for surgical and medical patients, including colorectal, urological, gynecological, vascular, EENT, wound, cancer-related diagnoses, lung, heart disease, diabetes, dementia, and substance use disorder
Additional Notes
- Local candidates are not accepted; permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- Time off is reviewed individually and must be included with the submission
- Guaranteed hours: 60 per 2 weeks, with possible call-off of 1 twelve-hour shift per 2 weeks
- Scrubs are provided
- Parking is free
