Outpatient Clinic RN
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Newark, New Jersey
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 5x7.5 hours, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- 37.5 hours per week
Specialty Focus
- Adult medical oncology
- GYN oncology
- Classic hematology
- Clinic procedures include bone marrow biopsy, paps, biopsy, colposcopy, and pelvic exams
- Common tasks include port access, central line blood draws, neupogen, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- 1 year of clinic experience
- Clinic experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ONS/ONCC
- Oncology experience
- Hematology experience
- Experience with Epic
Additional Requirements
- ACLS
- NIH Stroke Certification
- Medication test/pharmacology competency exam
- Competency exam
- Dysrhythmia/EKG competency exam
- IV therapy/infusion exam
- Color blind testing
- Physical exam
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray
- Drug screening
- Respiratory medical clearance / fit testing
- Latex questionnaire
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption
- References: 2 within the last 2 years, including 1 managerial reference
- Employment application or resume with 7 years of work history
- Work history verification covering at least 1 year prior to start
- Background check and exclusion list screening
- Government-issued photo ID
- E-Verify documentation
- Annual education sign-off
- Annual safety/manual acknowledgement
- Pass/fail testing acknowledgement
- Floating policy acknowledgement
- Blood transfusion reaction procedure and SBAR sign-off
- Annual education and compliance documents as required by the facility
