Description

Pharmacist Inpatient

Overview

  • Specialty: Pharmacy
  • Location: Lansing, Michigan
  • Employment type: Travel/Contract
  • Contract length: 13 weeks
  • Shift: Night shift; 7 on / 7 off schedule

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Michigan pharmacist license
  • Pharmacist with 1 year of experience
  • Pharmacist experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association
  • Chemo/Hazardous Drug certification
  • IV Certification
  • High school level education
  • Experience in an Acute Care or Inpatient setting

Additional Notes

  • The unit will consider first-time travelers.
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, and NIH Stroke are not listed as required for this role.
  • Resume, 2 references from previous employers, and a skills checklist are required.
  • Required pre-start items include background screening, drug screening, physical exam, fit test, TB screening, Tdap, MMR immunity or documentation, varicella immunity or documentation, hepatitis B immunity or declination, flu vaccination or declination, and completion of facility onboarding documents.

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
