Step Down RN Travel Contract

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Boone, North Carolina
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Floating to MedSurg based on patient volume
• Up to 2 weekends per month
• Holidays required
• Block scheduling may be considered if requested upfront, but is not guaranteed

Clinical Setting

• IMCU float pool role
• Telemetry skills required
• Patient ratio: 5:1, with a goal of 4:1
• Average census: 20–24 in a 24-bed unit
• Occasional pediatric patients; must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients when needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
• PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
• 2 or more years of total travel experience
• Telemetry experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• NIHSS
• Experience with Epic

Additional Requirements

• Must be within 40 miles of the facility
• Driver’s license required for address verification prior to offer
• Navy or white scrubs only
• Must include the required cover sheet and current NURSYS report
• All requested time off must be submitted with the profile

Submission Notes

• Current photo ID required
• Background check and health documentation are required as part of onboarding
• Initial physical required and must be updated annually
• TB clearance, immunization records, and seasonal flu documentation are required
