Step Down RN Travel Contract
Overview
- Travel/contract RN role in Boone, North Carolina
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12s, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Floating to MedSurg based on patient volume
- Up to 2 weekends per month
- Holidays required
- Block scheduling may be considered if requested upfront, but is not guaranteed
Clinical Setting
- IMCU float pool role
- Telemetry skills required
- Patient ratio: 5:1, with a goal of 4:1
- Average census: 20–24 in a 24-bed unit
- Occasional pediatric patients; must be comfortable caring for pediatric patients when needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
- PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
- 2 or more years of total travel experience
- Telemetry experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Experience with Epic
Additional Requirements
- Must be within 40 miles of the facility
- Driver’s license required for address verification prior to offer
- Navy or white scrubs only
- Must include the required cover sheet and current NURSYS report
- All requested time off must be submitted with the profile
Submission Notes
- Current photo ID required
- Background check and health documentation are required as part of onboarding
- Initial physical required and must be updated annually
- TB clearance, immunization records, and seasonal flu documentation are required
