Medical Surgical Float RN

Overview

• Travel/contract RN position in Boone, North Carolina
• 13-week assignment
• Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
• Dedicated float role across ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg based on patient volume
• Up to 2 weekends per month
• ASAP start only
• No holiday RTO requests
• Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
• Blocked schedule requests may be considered if requested at submittal
• Local candidates living within 40 miles of the facility are not accepted

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Float experience within the last year
• 2 years of float experience
• 2 years or more of total travel experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association
• PALS issued by American Heart Association
• Driver's License
• Experience with Epic

Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements

• Current NURSYS report
• Driver’s license for address verification
• 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in during the past 7 years
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
• HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
• Initial physical exam, updated annually
• Negative TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation or vaccination/declination as specified
• 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 30 days of start, updated annually
• Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
• 2 clinical references
