Medical Surgical Float RN
Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Boone, North Carolina
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- Dedicated float role across ICU, Intermediate, Stepdown, and MedSurg based on patient volume
- Up to 2 weekends per month
- ASAP start only
- No holiday RTO requests
- Candidates must be willing to work 2 of the 3 major holidays
- Blocked schedule requests may be considered if requested at submittal
- Local candidates living within 40 miles of the facility are not accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Float experience within the last year
- 2 years of float experience
- 2 years or more of total travel experience
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Driver's License
- Experience with Epic
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Current NURSYS report
- Driver’s license for address verification
- 7-year criminal background check covering all locations lived/worked in during the past 7 years
- EPLS/GSA/SAM check within 30 days of start
- HHS/OIG check within 30 days of start
- Initial physical exam, updated annually
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray within 1 year of start, updated annually
- Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation or vaccination/declination as specified
- 10-panel drug screen including marijuana within 30 days of start, updated annually
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season
- 2 clinical references
- Skills checklist
- Employment application/resume
