Every other weekend
Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Unit Details

36-bed unit
Typical nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6
Unit includes general MedSurg, post-op, and oncology patients
Occasional psych patients may require 1:1 sitter support

Required Qualifications

BLS
Must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips
Unexpired driver’s license copy required with submission
Must live within 50 miles of the facility

Preferred Qualifications

ONS/ONCC chemotherapy/biotherapy certification
Experience with chest tubes and PleurX chest tubes

Clinical Responsibilities / Patient Care

May administer heparin drip
No cardiac drips
CPAP and BiPAP are managed by respiratory therapy
May float to MedSurg/Tele units

Support Staff

Charge nurse available 24/7
CNA support: 3 on days and 3 on nights
Central monitor tech for the hospital

Dress Code

Royal blue scrubs
No false nails

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
