Job Overview
- Location: Kalamazoo, Michigan
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Nights, 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
- Schedule: Every other weekend; every other holiday
- Patient ratio: 1:4
- Unit size: 22-bed stepdown unit
- Charting system: Cerner PowerChart
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- First-time travelers: Accepted
- Local candidates: Not accepted if living within 50 miles of the facility
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Stepdown experience with 2 years of experience
- Stepdown experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with Cerner
Preferred Qualifications
- CPI
Compliance / Pre-Start Requirements
- Background check covering the last 7 years and all states lived/worked
- Education verification or diploma/transcript
- Physical exam
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray
- Negative 12-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- Employment application
- Confidentiality and non-disclosure agreement
- TB questionnaire
- Immunization or immunity documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
- Fit mask testing required for this location within one year of start
