Speech Language Pathologist
Location: Brockton, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Contract
Shift: Days
Hours per Week: 40
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Massachusetts
- Speech Language Pathologist (3 years of experience)
- Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
- Certificate of Clinical Competence
- Master's degree
Preferred
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility

Role Highlights
- Provides speech-language pathology services to support residents’ function and independence
- Evaluates and treats communication disorders and dysphagia, including modified barium swallow
- Develops and adjusts therapeutic plans of care
- Documents evaluations, treatments, and resident/caregiver education
- Collaborates with physicians, caregivers, and the care team
- Supports coverage coordination, in-services, and program development
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to perform tasks involving sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, twisting, and reaching
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds; lifting above 50 pounds requires a 2-person lift
- Frequent lifting/carrying up to 20 pounds
