ICU Registered Nurse

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Oak Ridge, Tennessee
• 13-week assignment
• Night shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Start date: 10/19
• Auto offer with bi-weekly orientations

Unit Details

• ICU patient ratio: 1:3
• Stepdown patient ratio: 1:4
• Float required
• Every other weekend or 2 weekends per month

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
• One completed travel assignment
• ACLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior CCU/ICU experience
• CCRN

Clinical Skills

• Ventilator management
• Care of ventilated patients
• Continuous IV sedation
• Management and interpretation of dysrhythmias

Compliance and Onboarding

• Color copy of current driver’s license or state ID
• Background check
• SSN trace
• Physical exam within 12 months of start
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray
• TB questionnaire
• Drug testing within 45 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption if applicable
• MMR documentation
• Hepatitis B documentation
• Varicella documentation
• Rubeola, mumps, and rubella documentation
• Color blind testing within 12 months prior to start
• Core competency exams
• Medication/pharmacology competency exam
• Photo for badge

Scheduling Notes

• Holiday time off during listed holiday periods will not be accommodated

Additional Notes

• Local candidates within 75 miles are paid less than travelers
• EKG competency exam is required within 12 months of start
