ICU RN

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract role in Portland, Oregon
  • Night shift: 3x12 hours, 19:00–07:00
  • 36 hours per week
  • Contract length: 26 weeks
  • May float between units
  • Weekends required at least every other
  • On-call not required
  • 48 hours not approved
  • Expected patient ratios: 1:1 or 1:2
  • Must have a vehicle for this assignment

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Oregon
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit (1 year of experience)
  • ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience within the last year
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Driver's License
  • BLS certification
  • NURSYS verification required for RNs
  • ACLS certification
  • Minimum 2 references covering 1 year of employment total within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting
  • Employment application covering at least the last 5 years
  • Background check
  • Education verification
  • State-specific search required for Oregon/Washington border placements
  • Physical exam within 1 year of start
  • Negative TB or chest X-ray
  • Tdap vaccination or declination
  • Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, flu season, COVID, and respirator clearance documentation as applicable to travel clinical requirements

Work Environment

  • Short-term acute care hospital
  • 418 staffed beds
  • Epic charting

Additional Notes

  • Travelers may be asked to float to other units based on skill set
  • If floating consecutive shifts, hotel may be offered at additional cost
  • Parking is free

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
