Registered Nurse — Emergency Department / CDU

Overview

Travel/contract role in Arizona
Float assignment between the Emergency Department and the CDU (Observation Unit)
Day shift, 3x12 hours
36 hours per week
Orientation occurs every Monday
Every other weekend and holidays are included
Blocked scheduling cannot be guaranteed
Patient ratio: 1:4

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Arizona
ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
TNCC
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
CDU - Clinical Decision Unit experience

Certifications

ACLS
BLS
NIHSS
PALS
TNCC

Preferred

ESI experience

Charting

Meditech experience is preferred, but not required

Assignment Notes

Initially assigned to CDU until 9/20, then may be assigned to either ED or CDU

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
