Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool

Overview

• Travel/contract RN role in Washington, DC
• Start: ASAP
• Contract length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day or night, 3x12 hours
• Hours: 36 per week
• Guaranteed hours: 48 per pay period
• Ratios: 1:1 or 1:2; if floated to NICU, up to 1:3

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in District of Columbia
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Critical Care Float experience within the last year
• 2 years of Critical Care Float experience
• PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
• CVPICU experience
• NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure

Work Expectations

• Strong PICU experience required
• Must be comfortable floating within scope between NICU, PICU, and CVPICU
• Weekend requirement: every other weekend
• On-call not required
• First-time travelers accepted
• Local candidates accepted

• Tdap within 10 years
• TB test or chest X-ray within 60 days of start
• TB questionnaire
• Measles, mumps, rubella, hepatitis B, and varicella immunity documentation
• 10-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
• Flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season
• Latex questionnaire if needed
• COVID vaccine or declination for tracking
• 2 professional references within the past 2 years
