CVICU Registered Nurse
Job Overview
- Location: Paramus, New Jersey
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Hours per week: 36
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- CVICU experience within the last year
- 1 year of CVICU experience
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- ECMO experience
- Open Heart experience
- Must be able to float to ICU, IMC, and assist as needed
- Must pass a telemetry competency on arrival
Additional Job Expectations
- Review rhythm topics before start: atrial, junctional, ventricular, heart blocks, and paced rhythms
- Must pass unit-specific telemetry competency for the following units: ED, Critical Care, 2A, and 3E
Pre-Start Requirements
- Two references required
- Employment verification for the last 7 years
- Unit-specific skills checklist
- Background check and education verification
- Physical exam or statement of health
- Fit testing
- Negative TB screening
- MMR, varicella, hepatitis B, COVID-19, and flu documentation
- Drug screening
- Core competency and medication/pharmacology competency testing
- Orientation and facility-specific acknowledgements/training
