Labor and Delivery RN

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract RN position in Lubbock, Texas
  • 13-week assignment
  • Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
  • 36 hours per week
  • 48 hours approved
  • Expected patient ratio: 1:1

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
  • Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
  • ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart & Stroke Foundation
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation
  • NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule Expectations

  • Weekend coverage required: 6 weekend shifts in a 6-week schedule
  • Does not require block scheduling
  • Does not require on-call coverage
  • Does not float between units

  • Children’s hospital
  • Level II Pediatric Trauma Center
  • 181 staffed beds

Additional Notes

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
