Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in New Jersey
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Nursery experience
- Pediatrics experience
- PICU - Pediatric Intensive Care experience
- Experience with Epic
Clinical Experience
- NICU Level III
- Care for neonatal abstinence syndrome
- Care for neonates 29–34 weeks and >34 weeks
- Telemetry monitoring
- Ventilated/intubated patients
- HFNC and other respiratory support
- Blood products, IVs, medication management, phlebotomy
- Breastfeeding support, enteral feedings, tube placement, glucose monitoring, insulin administration, phototherapy
- Developmental care, patient/family teaching, infection control, isolation precautions, sepsis workup
Unit Notes
- Does not attend high-risk deliveries
- Does not take level IV patients, ECMO, or fresh post-ops
- Must be able to float within skillset to NBN, Peds, and PICU
- Scrubs: Navy blue
Schedule Notes
- Every other weekend required
- Must work 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 holidays, per unit needs
- Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
