Cardiac Telemetry Nurse
Job Overview
- Travel/contract RN position in Pueblo, Colorado
- 13-week assignment
- Night shift: 3x12s, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
- Weekend work required per unit needs
- First-time travelers accepted
- On-call not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Colorado
- Telemetry (2 years of experience)
- Telemetry experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with cardiac patients
Unit Details
- Inpatient cardiac unit with med-surg overflow
- Floating required to med-surg units and may float to sister facilities based on facility needs
- Nurse-to-patient ratios may vary based on staffing and unit needs
- Navy scrubs
Clinical Experience
- Cardiac/telemetry and vascular patients
- CABG patients 2–3 days post-op
- Cath lab patients
- TAVR patients
- IV drips including amiodarone, insulin, nitro, cardizem, and heparin
Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements
- Background check and education verification required
- References required
- Employment history verification required
- Physical exam required
- Fit test required
- TB screening required
- Drug screening required
- Immunization/documentation requirements include MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, and COVID documentation or declination
- Color vision testing required
- Facility onboarding documents and annual competency/compliance items are required
