Operating Room RN

Overview

• Travel/contract role in Saint Paul, Minnesota
• 13-week assignment
• Acute care teaching hospital with level 3 trauma designation
• 317 staffed beds

Schedule

• 3x12 shifts
• Day shift: 6:45 AM–7:15 PM
• Evening shift: 11:00 AM–11:30 PM
• Weekend and call coverage as needed
• Open to block scheduling
• 40 guaranteed hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Minnesota
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• OR - Operating Room (1 year of experience)
• OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
• CVOR experience
• BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross

Compliance and Pre-Start Requirements

• Criminal background check required within 1 year of start
• Minnesota DHS NetStudy fingerprint clearance required
• BCA background check required
• EPLS/GSA/SAM check required within 1 year of start
• HHS/OIG check required within 1 year of start
• Physical exam within 12 months prior to start
• Tdap required
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray required
• Measles, mumps, and rubella immunity documentation required
• Hepatitis B immunity, series, or signed declination required
• Varicella immunity documentation required
• Respiratory safety clearance required
• Drug screen required within 1 year of start
• References required
• Skills checklist required annually
• Medication test/pharmacology competency exam required
• Competency exam required
• Pre-orientation modules must be completed before start
• Photo for badge required within 48 hours of signing

Work Environment

• Scrubs provided
• Epic charting system used
• Parking is free for night shift; day/evening parking is paid
• Latex-free facility

Additional Notes

• RTO limit: no more than 5 days
• Locals not accepted
• On-call required as needed
• Float within scope as needed
