Surgical Tech

Location

Martinsburg, West Virginia

Contract Length

13 weeks

Schedule

Day and evening shifts
40 hours per week

Required Qualifications

CVOR Technologist with 2 years of experience
CVOR Technologist experience within the last year
One completed travel assignment
BLS issued by American Heart Association

Assignment Details

Start window: late October to early November
Unit orientation: 1 week
Clinicians will onboard at Ruby for at least 1 week before moving to Berkeley Medical Center
May need to float within other services of the OR
Mandatory call is required: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
Call response time: 30 minutes
Holiday call may be assigned as needed

Case Mix

Cardiac surgery cases include CABG, valve repair/replacement, ECMO, and transplant
Thoracic surgery includes robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures
Vascular surgery includes diagnostic angiography, percutaneous interventions, endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair, visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation

Additional Notes

Surgical scrubs are provided
Housing is available for call coverage at additional cost

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
