Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in West Virginia
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • BLS issued by American Heart Association
  • CVOR experience within the last year
  • 2 years of CVOR experience
  • One completed travel assignment
  • Thoracic Surgery experience
  • Vascular Surgery experience

Job Details

  • Unit orientation: 1 week
  • Mandatory call required
  • Call schedule: 1 night per week and 1 weekend per month
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
  • May float within other services of the OR
  • Open to direct hire or permanent opportunities

Clinical Experience

  • Cardiac surgery cases include CABG, valve repair/replacement, ECMO, and transplant
  • Thoracic surgery cases include robotic, endoscopic, and open procedures
  • Vascular surgery cases include angiography, endarterectomy, dialysis access management, AAA repair, visceral arterial repair/intervention, and amputation

Additional Notes

  • Onboarding starts at another location for at least 1 week before moving to the assigned facility
  • Ceil blue surgical scrubs are provided
  • Housing is available for call coverage, at additional cost

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
