Operating Room RN
Overview
- Travel/contract operating room registered nurse role in Spartanburg, South Carolina
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
Key assignment details
- Travel OR circulator role
- Three 12-hour shifts scheduled Monday through Friday, with varying days off each week
- On-call required, including weekday call and periodic weekend call
- No floating within scope
- Block scheduling not accommodated
- Local candidates accepted only if they live 75 miles or more from the facility
- Pending license accepted if obtained before start
- All requested time off must be submitted with the initial application
Required qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- 5 years of Registered Nurse experience
- OR - Operating Room (5 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- Ophthalmology experience
- Orthopedics experience
- Neurosurgery experience
Experience preferences
- Strong ophthalmology experience
- Orthopedic MAKO experience
- Neuro spine experience
Compliance and onboarding
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 3 months of start
- Drug test within 90 days of start
- COVID vaccination documentation or declination
- Flu vaccination documentation or declination, if applicable to the season
- Measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, and hepatitis B immunity or documentation as specified by the facility
- Respirator safety clearance within 1 year of start, if respirator use is expected
- Orientation safety manual acknowledgement
- Photo for badge
- TB risk assessment and symptom evaluation
- On-call policy form
- References required per facility process
- Skills checklist for the applicable unit
