Step Down Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract role in Middletown, Ohio
Night shift: 4x12 hours, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
13-week contract option also mentions an 18-week winter contract option
Must work every other weekend and every other holiday
First to float at the employer’s discretion, including to medically appropriate assignments outside the specialty cluster

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Ohio
Stepdown (1 year of experience)
Stepdown experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Contract Details

Contract length: 13 weeks
Winter contract option: 18 weeks

Additional Notes

License does not need to be in hand at application, but must be obtained before the contract starts
May be assigned to support the nursing care team of the unit floated to, including High Risk Respiratory Unit/COVID
The employer may cancel 2 shifts due to low census per 13-week contract
The agreement may be canceled with 2 weeks’ notice without fee or fine

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
