Speech-Language Pathologist, Acute Care Hospital

Job Overview

  • Travel/contract position in Midland, Texas
  • 20-week assignment
  • Day shift, 5x8 hours
  • 40 hours per week
  • Preferred start: mid-October

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license in Texas
  • Speech Language Pathologist (2 years of experience)
  • Speech Language Pathologist experience within the last year
  • BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
  • Bachelor's degree in speech language pathology or Master's degree in speech language pathology or Doctoral degree in speech language pathology

Schedule Requirements

  • Weekend availability required
  • On-call availability required

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients and develop goals and treatment plans
  • Administer speech therapy treatments and modalities
  • Document treatment accurately and on time
  • Communicate with physicians and other healthcare workers
  • Follow hospital policies, procedures, and protocols

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
