Special Procedures Tech
Job Overview
- Travel assignment in Springfield, Missouri
- 13-week contract
- Day shift: Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- Call coverage required, including one to two weekends per month and four to six weekdays per month
- One opening
Required Qualifications
- Special Procedures Technologist experience within the last year
- 2 years of experience as a Special Procedures Technologist
- ARRT (R)
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced registry in CI, VI, or RCIS
- Certification in VI, CV, or RCIS
Work Setting
- Interventional radiology department
- Four interventional radiology suites
- 1:1 procedural patient ratio
Key Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and invasive procedures across various anatomy and pathology
- Support the care team during procedures, including scrub assistance and image recording
- Operate imaging equipment in accordance with radiation safety practices
- Administer contrast materials and review medication reconciliation forms for contraindications
- Operate oxygen, suction, blood pressure, and other essential patient care equipment
- Monitor patients before, during, and after procedures
- Use immobilization and patient transfer devices as needed
Additional Details
- Green surgical scrubs are provided daily and must remain within the facility
- Float as required by the facility
- Equipment used includes Siemens
- EMR used: EPIC Radiant
