RN - Post Anesthesia Care

Schedule
- Day or evening 12-hour shifts
- 48 hours per week preferred; 36 hours acceptable
- Every other weekend
- Rotating call
Contract Length
26 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Maine
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (3 years of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment
- BLS
- ACLS
- PALS
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Experience in an inpatient setting
- Cardiac drips experience
- Phase 1 post-anesthesia care experience
- Groin management experience
- TEE/Cardiovascular/Catheterization/EP procedure experience
- Preoperative experience
- ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience
Float Requirements
- Floats as needed to PACU, IMC, and ICU
Unit/Patient Care Focus
- Pre-operative and post-operative PACU care
- Cardiac cath, EP, TAVR, TEE/cardioversion, and other OR procedures
- Phase 1 care
- Groin management
- Cardiac drips, IVs, EKGs
- Telemetry monitoring
Additional Notes
- Online education modules and unit orientation provided as needed
- Must be flexible and a team player
