Job Overview

Schedule

• 6:00 PM–6:00 AM and 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
• Every other weekend and holidays
• No call

Work Location

• Floats between two facilities in Lake Charles and St. Patrick

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license in Louisiana
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential
• 1 year of Registered Respiratory Therapist experience within the last year
• BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
• ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association

Experience

• 1–3 years of experience preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Provide respiratory care for critical, non-critical, and chronically ill patients across adult, pediatric, and neonatal populations
• Perform patient assessments and respiratory care plans
• Handle airway management, ventilator management, oxygen delivery, blood gas collection and analysis, EKG analysis, and related respiratory therapy procedures
• May serve as shift leader or team leader
• May assist with advanced respiratory therapy functions such as pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, polysomnography, and transport duties

• 5 vents to 1 therapist
