Operating Room RN
Job Overview
- Travel/contract role in Washington, DC
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 6:30 AM–7:00 PM
- 36 hours per week
- 13-week contract
- On-call required: 2 night calls and 3 weekend calls per month
- No floating between like units
- Block scheduling not accommodated
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in District of Columbia
- OR - Operating Room (2 years of experience)
- OR - Operating Room experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Health Requirements
- Physical exam
- Fit testing within 1 year of start
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap documentation
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year of start
- Measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella immunity documentation
- Hepatitis B documentation or declination form
- 9-panel drug screen within 30 days of start
- COVID-19 vaccination required before start
- Flu vaccination required during flu season
- CBC required before start
Work Setting
- Trauma I teaching hospital
- 228 staffed beds
- 9-room OR
- Charting system: SIS
