Labor and Delivery RN
Overview
- Travel/contract role in Ketchikan, Alaska
- Start: ASAP
- Contract length: 26 weeks
- Shift: 3x12 variable schedule, with a minimum of 50–70% night shifts
- Weekend coverage is required on an equitable rotating basis
- Floating may be required 0–3 times per month, with OB float duties limited to helping hands, sitter/camera watching, or CNA-type work
- First-time travelers are accepted
- Pending license is accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Labor and Delivery (2 years of experience)
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- BLS issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- AWHONN
- NRP
Work Conditions
- Scrub color: Royal Blue
Additional Notes
- Compliance may take 4 weeks from offer to start, or 5+ weeks if an Alaska license is pending
- Two positive references are required
- A physical exam statement is required within 1 year of start
- Fit testing is required within 1 year of start and must be updated annually
- Negative TB screening or chest X-ray is required within 1 year of start
- Drug testing is required within 30 days of start
- During flu season, documentation of flu vaccination or declination is required
- Orientation and onboarding materials must be completed before start
