Schedule
- 36 hours per week
- Three 12-hour shifts per week
- Must be flexible to work day, night, weekend, and holiday shifts
- On-call may be required
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Alaska
- Long Term Acute Care experience within the last year
- 1 year of Long Term Acute Care experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Long Term Care experience
Preferred Experience
- Geriatric and dementia care experience
Role Overview
- Provides direct nursing care in long-term care settings for patients across the lifespan
- Performs assessments, develops and updates care plans, administers medications and treatments, and responds to changes in patient condition
- Collaborates with providers and interdisciplinary teams
- Documents care in the electronic health record
- May float to other departments or assignments as needed
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to stand for extended periods and perform bending, stooping, and kneeling
Additional Notes
- Housing and transportation are not provided; assistance is handled by the agency
- Traveler applicants must live at least 100+ miles from the facility address
- Must be competent in the use of all equipment in the specialty
