NICU Transport RN
Location
- Portland, Oregon
Job Type
- Travel/Contract
- Night shift, 3x12 hours
- 36 hours per week
- Start date: any Tuesday
- Weekend coverage: minimum every 3rd weekend, with occasional extra weekend shifts as needed
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Oregon
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (1 year of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
- NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation Procedure
- Flight experience or mobile transfer experience
- Flight Nurse or Critical Care Flight Nurse experience
- Transport experience
- Experience with Epic
Role Overview
- Transport team role for neonates and pediatric patients
- Team transports patients from outside facilities to a higher level of care
- Transport may involve driving, flying, or rotor transport
- Flight training is included in orientation
Additional Requirements
- Epic charting familiarity is required
- Criminal background check
- 2 professional references
- Physical exam within 1 year before start
- Tdap within 10 years of start or signed declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year before start
- TB questionnaire annually
- Immunity or documentation for measles, mumps, rubella, varicella, hepatitis B, and COVID vaccination or declination
- Flu vaccine or signed declination during flu season
- Respiratory safety clearance
- Drug screen within 12 months of start
- Washington state search results required
Work Environment
- Children’s hospital setting
- Pediatric transport team includes one RN and one RT per shift
