EP Lab RN Travel Contract

Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in North Carolina
- Electrophysiology Lab (3 years of experience)
- Electrophysiology Lab experience within the last year
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Key Clinical Skills
- Electrophysiology (EP) lab
- Dysrhythmia interpretation
- Cardiac ablation and mapping
- Pacemaker and ICD procedures
- Watchman and left atrial appendage closure
- Laser-assisted procedures
- Scrub, circulate, and sterile technique
- EKG lead placement and accurate monitoring
- Arrhythmia induction and conduction studies
- Equipment setup and supply stocking
- Prep access site
- Recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias
Procedures and Equipment
- Ablations: VT, PVI, CV, A-Flutter, AV Node
- ICD/pacer placement and exchanges
- Laser lead extraction
- Lead extraction
- PFA, Cryo, ESI, IVUS, Cardio Lab
Schedule Notes
- Assigned late coverage each week
- May be asked to stay to help meet 40 hours if rooms end early
- Overtime is not expected but may occur
Unit Information
- Unit orientation: 30 hours
- Scrubs provided
Important Assignment Policies
- No RTO after booking
- Additional RTO or call-offs may lead to cancellation and do-not-return status
- May be assigned to storm, hurricane, mass casualty, or disaster coverage
- May be reassigned within the centralized office mid-contract if needed
