Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Lansing, Michigan
- Start date: ASAP
- Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- 36 hours per week
- On call: No
- Weekends: Yes, 3 weekends (Fri–Sun) per 4-week schedule
- Floating: Peds possible
- Locals accepted
Unit
- Emergency Department / ER
- Level 1 Trauma Center, Stroke Center, Heart Center, and Pediatric Emergency Department
- High patient ratios: 1:5–6, with potential up to 8 depending on volume and holidays
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Michigan
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- ED - Emergency Department (2 years of experience)
- ED - Emergency Department experience within the last year
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- TNCC
- NIHSS
- Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients
- Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias
- Continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration experience
- Experience with Epic
Preferred Qualifications
- ENPC
- Triage experience
Additional Notes
- Unit accepts first-time travelers
- RTO must be submitted at time of submittal; no additional RTO will be approved later
- No RTO allowed: 10/31 and 12/18–12/28
- Modules are completed onsite at orientation
- 5 hours should be budgeted for non-billable modules
