PACU RN Travel/Contract Job
Overview
- Role: PACU RN
- Location: Midland, Texas
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Shift: Day, 5x8 hours, 12:00–20:30
- Hours: 40 per week
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Start: Within the next 3–5 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Texas
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care (1 year of experience)
- PACU - Post Anesthesia Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- ACLS issued by American Heart Association
- PALS issued by American Heart Association
- NIHSS
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience working with Pediatric patients
- Experience recovering orthopedic patients
- Experience recovering neurological patients
- Experience recovering general surgery patients
- Experience recovering urology patients
- Experience recovering dental patients (adults and pediatrics)
- Experience recovering gynecology patients
- Experience monitoring patients with nerve blocks
- Experience with chest tube insertions
- Experience with central line management
Preferred Qualifications
- 2 years of experience
- Experience with all surgeries except hearts
- Critical care experience
- Level II trauma experience
Clinical Experience
- Experience recovering ortho, neuro, general, urology, dental (adults and pediatrics), GYN, and PEDS ENT (T & A, BMT, etc.)
- Experience monitoring patients with nerve blocks, chest tube insertions, central lines, intubation, and A-lines
Additional Notes
- The assignment is based in PACU and includes coverage in Pre-Op.
