Registered Nurse (RN) Float (Nights)

Role Overview

• Temp Registered Nurse (RN) float position in Bellefontaine, Ohio.
• Shift: Nights, 12 hours.
• Contract length: 13 weeks.

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Ohio
• Float (1 year of experience)
• Float experience within the last year
• ACLS
• BLS
• PALS
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ED - Emergency Department experience
• ICU - Intensive Care Unit experience

Job Expectations

• Provides direct and indirect patient care.
• Communicates with physicians, nurse managers, and co-workers about changes in patient condition, diagnostic results, and symptomatology.
• Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
• Performs general nursing duties.
• Assumes responsibility for unit patient populations.
• Completes thorough patient assessments.
• Uses effective communication skills with all customers.
• Works independently and delegates appropriately.
• Functions calmly and confidently in unexpected crises.
• Adjusts schedule to meet unit needs.
• Floats to and works in other areas as assigned.
• Accepts low census as needed.
• Works required weekends and holidays.
• Adheres to staffing and personnel policies.
