Interventional Radiology

Role Overview

• Travel/Contract assignment in Everett, Washington
• Day shift: 5x8 hours, 7:00–16:30
• Assignment length: 13 weeks
• Call required: 5–7 days per month
• Weekend requirement: only for on-call
• Guaranteed hours: 70 hours per 2 weeks
• Traveler may be called off for 1 shift per 2-week period
• Start date: ASAP
• Locals accepted: No
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience

Required Qualifications

• Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in Washington
• Interventional Radiology Technologist (2 years of experience)
• Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year
• BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
• ARRT (R)
• Contrast experience
• Angiograms experience
• Nephrograms experience
• Venous access experience

Preferred Qualifications

• C-Arm
• Biopsies
• Ablations
• Kyphoplasty

Unit Details

• Based in the operating room
• 3 single plane IR rooms, 1 biplane room, and 1 hybrid room
• Procedures are also performed in a radiology room and CT
• Daily staffing includes 2 Interventional Radiologists, 1 Neuro Interventionalist, 1–2 Vascular Surgeons, and 1 PA/NP
• Procedures include cerebral angiography with intervention, stroke intervention, angiography with intervention of all body parts except the heart, Y90, chemoembolization, cryoablation, venography with intervention, biopsies using fluoro/CT/ultrasound, venous access, gastrostomy, and drains including biliary, nephrostomy, and abscess
