NICU RN
Overview
- Travel/Contract role in Seattle, Washington
- 13-week assignment
- Day shift: 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:30
- Level III or IV NICU with 77 beds and average census of 50
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Washington
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (3 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Open to floating to different campuses
- Active compact license honored by Swedish facilities
- ACLS
- BLS
- PALS
- NRP
- NURSYS verification required for all RNs
- WA - Multi State Licensed Nurses - Demographic Attestation, if working in Washington with an out-of-state compact license
- WA - Multi State Licensed Nurses - Suicide Prevention Training, if working in Washington with an out-of-state compact license
Clinical Experience / Skills
- 23–24 weeks gestation
- No ECMO
- CPAP/BiPap
- High Frequency Vents
- Oscillators
- Vents
- Blood/Blood Products Administration
- Cardioversion / Defibrillation
- Cooling / Warming Blanket
- Feeding Tubes
- PICC/Central Lines
- Syringe Pumps
- Attends high-risk deliveries
- Neonatal surgeries
Float Scope
- Rarely floats due to high NICU need
- May float to Issaquah or Edmonds SCN
- May float to Pediatrics/NBN for newborns only
- If floated to Pediatrics, only infants are assigned
Additional Notes
- Previous permanent employees of any Providence affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months to qualify
- Block scheduling is approved if preferred, with the option to work 3 or more shifts in a row
