PT Outpatient

Overview

Travel/Contract role in Adrian, Michigan
Outpatient clinic setting
Day shift, 5x8 hours
Monday-Friday schedule
No call or weekends
Float to Onstead required
Average daily census: 10
Staffing ratio: 1:1
Patient age groups: Pediatrics, Adolescents, Adults, Geriatrics
Patient diagnosis focus: General ortho and neuro
Specialty/patient population: Neurology, Ortho
Unit accepts first-time traveler
Dress code: Business casual
Free parking

Required Qualifications

Valid Physical Therapist license in Michigan
Physical Therapist (1 year of experience)
Physical Therapist experience within the last year
BLS
Experience in an Acute Care setting
Experience with Epic

Responsibilities / Clinical Skills

Assessments: AROM/AAROM/PROM, assistive devices, pain assessment, strength testing
Documentation: assessment, discharge, evaluation, long term goals, plan of care, reassessments, short term goals, time management
Professional skills: home exercise program, patient family education
Documentation systems used: WellSky, Epic
Communication system: SBAR
Provider support: Unit Secretary

Schedule

8:30 AM to 4:30 PM or 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, 3x per week

Pros

Marigold is polite and professional. She goes above and beyond to ensure the contractor is well informed and has everything needed to be successful. She helped me with onboarding and getting used to the timesheet app and she answers my texts promptly, even after hours. She is a great recruiter liason. Gladys was a super helpful with onboarding and Denise will hook you up with benefits with no trouble at all. Great team to work with.

Cons

Onboarding is somewhat tedious, but they do dot every "i" and cross every T.
